Hobby towards make-up and beauty paved way for a career line to this girl and also a purpose to achieve something in life.

It was Deeksha’s interest and hobby of performing the make-up and dressing to her friends and relatives during the functions, which gained fame to her in her family and neighborhood. She performed the art with very basic knowledge which is gained from here and there. Hailing from Tilak Nagar in Delhi, Deeksha comes a joint family to include her father, mother, younger brother, and her father’s parents and brothers. Her father works as a photographer earning a monthly income of Rs. 20,000.

25 year old Deeksha is qualified in Bachelor of Arts. One of her cousin who has also completed her beautician course with Sambhav Foundation, a LabourNet’s initiative, advised her to join the institute, as she wanted to know the nitty gritty of being a beautician.  Deeksha approached the Sambhav Foundation, to attain full-on training in beauty care. Coming from a joint family, Deeksha got full support from everyone in the family and it was her father who advised her to follow the career path which she always liked to do.

With respect to the training, Deeksha was very quick enough to understand the teachings during the course as she had little knowledge on beauty care. She credits her trainer Neha mam, for the structured training imparted during the course. Also, centre head Ayushi mam was always there to clear any doubts and concerns and boosted students’ confidence by sharing success stories of other student’s. The plus point of the training was the communication and presentation skills which Deeksha attained along with training which she felt is quite essential in today’s world to interact with customers and also on how to build their confidence with contented services.

After 3 months of training in Sambhav foundation, Deeksha joined internship for 3 months in a known parlour in the city on reference from Ayushi mam earning an income of Rs.2000 per month. Immediately after internship, Deeksha started working in a parlour with a salary of Rs.9000 per month. She has worked there for a year now and is very happy with the job and for all the training she received in Sambhav foundation.

Deeksha is more than happy that just a hobby of her was developed into a fruitful career and it was all possible through Sambhav foundation in association with Labournet.
